Our Commitment
ENVNO1 is committed to ensuring that our website, envno1.net, is accessible to everyone — including people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities. Known Limitations
While we have made significant improvements, some limitations exist. We are committed to transparency about the current state of our website's accessibility:
Theme Architecture Limitations (Horizon Theme)
- 12 color contrast errors remain on semi-transparent overlay elements generated by our Shopify theme — these affect UI elements such as placeholder text and hover states that use transparency values baked into the theme architecture
- Certain hidden screen-reader elements use transparency-based color values that cannot be corrected without a full theme rebuild
- Product images displayed twice (in grid and carousel) generate duplicate alt text alerts — this is a Shopify platform rendering behavior
- Some product links appear as redundant (image link + text link to same destination) — standard Shopify product card behavior
Content Limitations
- Homepage is missing a first-level heading (H1) — we are working to address this with our theme developer
- Some product image alt text descriptions may exceed recommended length — this is intentional to provide maximum detail for screen reader users
We are working with our theme developer, Digital Marketing INC, to address these limitations in a future theme update.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
ENVNO1 has been evaluated for compatibility with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on Mac/iOS, TalkBack on Android)
- Keyboard-only navigation (Tab, Enter, Space bar, Arrow keys)
- Browser zoom up to 200%
- High contrast display modes
- Voice control software
Our Shopify-powered store supports full keyboard navigation. Users can Tab through all interactive elements including product cards, add to cart buttons, navigation menus, and checkout flow. The Skip to Content link allows keyboard users to bypass the navigation and go directly to products.
